Shihao Fu is a Technology Analyst at IDTechEx, specializing in the latest electric vehicle and autonomous vehicle technologies. He joined the company in 2024 after completing his Master's degree in Smart, Connected, and Autonomous Vehicles from the University of Warwick. With a strong background in the autonomous vehicle industry, including experience at NIO, a leading electric vehicle OEM from Asia, and WeRide, a prominent Chinese robotaxi unicorn, Shihao will continue to make significant contributions to IDTechEx's research projects with his ever-expanding expertise. Shihao graduated with a Master's degree in Smart, Connected, and Autonomous Vehicles from the WMG, University of Warwick. His academic pursuits encompassed a broad range of topics within the field of autonomous vehicles, including human factors research (focusing on user experience and user interface in autonomous driving), sensor technology, sensor fusion, machine learning, human-machine interaction, cyber security, and embedded systems. Prior to this, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in ergonomics research for autonomous vehicle cabins, laying a solid foundation in user-centric vehicle design.
