Automotive heads-up displays (HUDs) are set to revolutionize the automotive display sector, offering convenience, safety, and futuristic appeal to drivers worldwide.

 

A HUD is an advanced technology integrated into vehicles to project essential information so that the drivers can access crucial information without averting their eyes from the road. This technology was first developed for military aircraft but is gaining increasing attraction for automotive. This innovative system typically displays vital details such as vehicle speed, navigation directions, and safety warnings, enhancing situational awareness and minimizing distraction.

 

In this talk, we will explore the evolving landscape of HUD technology, examining its classification based on different standards and the key features driving its development. We will start with the trend of HUD to introduce different kinds of HUDs and their components, with a special focus on Augmented Reality (AR) HUD. We will then address the potential opportunities HUD development can bring for suppliers across the value chain.
